i’ve been wondering for quite a while which of my academic interests i shall pursue. after all, this is a life-changing decision, which also determines where i’ll be living. during the last three days i took part in a seminar dealing with eu-china relations. stuff like that is pretty hard to find, and some people say that’s due to the currently virtually non-existent eu-china relations - a very short-sighted argument. during these days i strongly felt my enthusiam for the topic and recognized how much knowledge i already collected. the other participants strongly encouraged me to follow my plans [which came out of nothing for me, as i didn’t ask for advice or anything]. discussing the topic all day long didn’t feel like work at all, even though there was a serious lack of sleep. i guess one should always do what feels natural and easy. alea iacta est.
ps. just to let you know, the other option was to go deeper into sustainability and environment topics. but maybe foreign policy will have to include these aspects in the future.
